Explore China through our bespoke itineraries, designed by Paul and his team from Beijing. Each route is crafted to reveal the Great Wall away from crowds, the terraced rice fields of Yunnan, the karst peaks of the Li River and Shanghai's modernity against the classical gardens of Suzhou. Whether you travel with family, as a couple or with friends, our circuits adapt to your pace, comfort level and season. From a 12-day discovery circuit combining Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin and Shanghai to an extended 3-week journey including Yunnan or the Silk Road, find the itinerary that suits you and travel with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.
Choose your trip in China
How to choose your trip to China?
China cannot be visited all at once. For a first trip, we recommend a classic north-south loop including Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin or Yangshuo, and Shanghai, achievable in 13 to 17 days with two domestic flights and several high-speed train journeys. To add Yunnan, Sichuan or the Silk Road, plan for 18 days or more, the time needed to cover distances without chaining short stages. Our team helps you balance depth and breadth according to your available time.
Different types of trips
We design cultural itineraries centered on imperial capitals, Song gardens and calligraphy, adventure trips with trekking in the Leaping Tigers at Yunnan or hiking on wild sections of the Great Wall, and family journeys that alternate between giant pandas in Chengdu, calligraphy in Beijing and bamboo raft rides. Each trip is tailored to your pace, hiking level and children's ages.
What is the best season?
Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) remain the best windows for most itineraries: temperatures of 15 to 25°C, often clear skies, favorable vegetation. Summer suits Tibet, high-altitude Sichuan and the Silk Road better, harsher during the rest of the year. Winter reveals a snow-covered Great Wall at Jinshanling and allows visiting Beijing without crowds, provided you accept below-freezing temperatures. We systematically avoid Chinese New Year and National Day weeks (October 1-7), which are saturated.
