Jingdezhen is a city in Jiangxi province. The city's main draw lies in its porcelain factories.
History
During the Han Dynasty, Jingdezhen was known as Xinping. It was during this period that the city began producing porcelain. Only during the Northern Song Dynasty did the city take the name Jingdezhen.
The city became renowned for its numerous kilns and intense porcelain production. It reached perfection during the Ming Dynasty, which allowed the region to become THE center of China's porcelain industry.
Today
For pottery and porcelain enthusiasts, Jingdezhen is an essential destination. Despite the fact that its ancient kilns, which built the city's reputation, have been destroyed, Jingdezhen remains the industrial hub of porcelain production.
A few charming old streets lined with shops invite leisurely strolls. Venture to the Porcelain Culture Exhibition Center, which traces the traditional techniques used and the history of porcelain in Jingdezhen.

Jingdezhen Railway Station is connected by rail lines to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanchang, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Yangzhou, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Yangzhou, and Qingdao.
Long-distance Bus
Daily long-distance buses arrive and depart Jingdezhen from Nanchang, Hangzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wenzhou, Shanghai, Changsha, Wuhan, and beyond.
Approximately thirty local buses traverse the urban area in all directions. Taxis also offer affordable routes throughout the city.
