But how to choose among all the cities available? A study conducted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) attempts to provide answers to this question. It is based on 29 indicators drawing from 6 key criteria: safety, access to public services, natural environment, social and human environment, public transportation, and environmental health risks.
According to this report, here is the ranking of the 10 most livable Chinese cities to settle in.
1- Qingdao

Located in Shandong province, the city of Qingdao holds the top spot as China's most livable city. This city boasts numerous attractions. You can admire magnificent mountainous landscapes while being right by the sea. Moreover, compared to other regions of Chine, the climate here is exceptionally pleasant. Neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter.
2- Kunming
In second place in the ranking is the city of Kunming. Capital of Yunnan province, Kunming is a modern and highly livable city. It is nicknamed "the city of eternal spring" due to the mildness of its climate. Well served by transportation, it's easy to organize weekend getaways in the surrounding area or a short stay in a neighboring province.
3- Sanya
In third place is the city of Sanya. Located on Hainan Island, it is the only coastal city in China's tropical zone. Nicknamed the "Hawaii of the Orient,
